Alejandro Ramirez-Rojas is an award-winning composer, orchestrator, and conductor whose classically grounded approach brings profound emotional depth to visual storytelling. With a rigorous academic background in music , his career is defined by versatility and a deep understanding of the cinematic language.
His masterful compositions have garnered significant industry acclaim. He is a two-time winner of the prestigious Macondo Award (2012, 2013) from the Colombian Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for Best Original Score, and received the India Catalina TV Award (2017) for his standout work on the acclaimed series The White Slave. His music has also crossed borders, earning Best Original Score nominations at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema in Milan and the Islantilla International Film Festival in Spain.
A prolific collaborator in film and television, Alejandro has composed the original scores for a diverse array of prominent feature films and documentaries, including Tomorrow Before After, Heredity, Trickster, Trapped, Yo Soy Otro, Los Actores del Conflicto, La Vida Era En Serio, Run or Die, Apaporis, Poker, La Sargento Matacho, Aluna, and Amores Peligrosos.
